Apple TV continues to buffer

DRM Certificate Processing Error is what comes up eventually, sometimes, more often just the spinning wheel, other times just frozen video. This is on both FireStick and Roku devices. I cleared cache, restarted, force stopped, deleted app and reloaded, unplugged everything (sticks plus internet wifi devices) - about four times. App on phone plays fine. This is all strange because Apple TV played fine on same devices for at least couple years until about 4-5 months ago. All responses on how to fix don’t work. So, I canceled my subscription in hopes to come back later. The shows are fantastic. I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for a few decades. Latest experiences (including with iPhone 11 that just freezes up) leave me a little wanting.

  1. Restart your Apple TV to confirm the issue persists: Restart Apple TV - Apple Support
  2. If the issue persists, make sure that you are using a strong Wi-Fi connection: If your Apple TV can't connect to Wi-Fi - Apple Support
  3. Check that you are using the most recent software to rule out the older one: Update your Apple TV - Apple Support
  4. Reset your Apple TV: Reset Apple TV - Apple Support
