Verify purchase on child account

Hi, nope… my child does have a passcode on her ipad so that is also not gonna fix it. I guess i will try to get in touch with somebody from Apple support ‘cause i can obviously not seem to figure this out. So frustrating.

I have spent 2 days on this and still have the exact same problem you are experiencing. Went to the Apple store and they could not figure it out. My daughter's iPhone and her new iPad cannot download any apps because there is no way to verify a payment method. The cards show up in her profile but there is no way to verify the card. I have added additional cards, they show up, but you cannot select the card to verify it. I deleted all payment methods on my phone, and added one back, still having the same issue. I really hope someone here has the fix for this.

Yep, that is exactly my problem to. I just deleted a payment method, added it back in on my account. Turned her ipad off… and will check in a little bit. I’ve tried pretty much everything i can think off. So frustrating.

I'm having similar issue and sooo frustrated. just 3 weeks ago I purchased a couple apps on his tablet. today when I need it most not working. Im using Kidslox for securing his tablet, and do not have any of apples default child protection on. He's set as a child profile, I did the sharing but somehow his email is listed on his at the primary. I tried removing my secondary and redoing, now I get. you can change this in 89 day. FFS 89days??? I can't download a new app on a very long rainy weekend for our special needs kid and it sucks. I click it, it prompts for password, verification and just sits and spins. and on the share I have my paypal setup which worked last time..

I am having the same issue. Purchases worked fine just a couple of weeks ago.

I have tried everything in this thread and nothing works. Why can't I click VERIFY?!

VERY FRUSTRATING and now I can't make any purchases for the family shared phones.

Apple... this appears to be a rather dated issue, AND yes, I'm experiencing the same behavior across each iPhone 14 in my household - all my kids' phones. I'm guessing you're also losing a good chunk of change in revenue due to this software bug. When will you fix it? We need your help. Help us!

I am currently the only one in the household (Family Sharing Organizer) that can download anything. Everyone else in our Family Sharing cannot download or update apps in the Apple Store. Under each person’s Apple ID, who is not the organizer, I cannot verify the Payment type on file as it says that it’s setup in Family Sharing and contact the Family Organizer. Ask to Buy is also not working. My children ask to buy and I never receive the request on my phone

This is so annoying. Can't verify payment on my child's iPad. Have tried the suggestion here, but it still doesn't work. I hope that Apple can resolve this, or I will obviously not make any more purchases ...

I was thinking about that to, started trying to do that, but i do not, nor have i ever used Apple cash so i got stuck not knowing how to do it.

Has anyone figured this out? Now I have two payment methods to be verified but can’t click on either!

After working for a few days I am back at square one, all payments verified but apps won't download from app store again. Just spinning circle. So frustrating, back at square one. Any ideas?

It’s not allowing you to click on Verify. So this does not resolve the issue. It says verify but it doesn’t go anywhere when you click on it.
