download folder

I bought a new macbook and accidentally deleted the downloads folder. I see the folder but when I click enter it says the original file has been deleted. Does anyone know how to help?

Lost folder I was recently going through my files on my MacBook Air. I was putting some in the trash and some in a folder to put on an external hard drive. When I emptied the trash, the folder with stuff to put on the hard drive disappeared. Is there any way I can recover this without having to pay $80+ for one of the recovery softwares?

I have just updated my imac to Monterey 12.1 and have lost my past dowloads in my download folder. Now only goes back to May 2021. Anyway to get this back? Choose Home from the Finder's Go menu and create a new one.
