How to save one image from a 'saved all' burst

Posting this in the hopes it'll save others the hour of my life I'll never get back.

Took a burst and 'saved all', assuming selection later would be straightforward. Hah!

Selected an image, given two options: Cancel, and 'Done', neither of which got me anywhere.

Spent the aforementioned hour scrolling endless links on bursts, none of which helped a jot. Eventually stumbled across a solution. To whit:

Open the burst

Select one

Click Cancel

(Despite the 'Cancel', the selected image actually remains selected)

(Top right three dots) Duplicate

The selected image appears as a standalone.

Don't thank me, it's what I do 🙂

Awfully decent of you!

Ok, well I recently bought my first iPhone - an 11 Pro Max, running 16.2, in case it matters - and I was trying to save one image from a 'burst' of seven, for which I'd initially taken the 'save all' option, figuring I'd subsequently be able easily to select one and save that as a single image. Only to discover that 'easily' was not the operative word - and a lot of other people seemed to have had the same problem. So when I came up with a solution, I thought I'd post it hereabouts in case it helped someone in the same position. Didn't look into it too closely - I was on holiday and otherwise occupied. If you think it might be more helpful somewhere else, and can move it, please do. Either way, have a nice one.
