Can't move desktop items

the Items on my desktop can't be moved. (all items) I can drag and drop into a file, simply can't place them where I want. I have a MacBook Pro and OS is Ventura.

Control click on the Desktop make some changes.... Stacks? Sort? View Options? Clean Up By?
