iMac Desktop

I am unable to move the folders or other icons on my desktop. When I try to move a folder it bounces back. Also, when I organized my folders, i had them on the left side. Now they are on the right side and immovable. Actually my computer is iMac , 27 in, 2017. I am running version 11.6.5 and the OS Big Sur.

Click on the desktop then CMD+j keys to see View Options, choose Stack by.. None, Sort by...None
