Studio Display Audio Cutting Out Intermittently

Hey.

Getting random audio cuts on new Studio Display. Yes, I installed the new firmware (running Version 15.5 Build 19F80), which does not fix it. Yes, I did try the weird unplugging solution that is being suggested all over the internet several times. Reversed the cable. Changed the order of plugging in USB devices. Tried plugging in USB sequentially, etc.

I am plugged into a MacBook Pro 14 M2 with Ventura 13.2.1

What else? This is ultra annoying.

From an engineering standpoint, it’s actually a better solution believe it or not. Mice/keyboard work better with dedicated, direct connections because they’re time-sensitive devices. The Display hub unnecessarily lengthens their connectivity and puts them on shared bandwidth with other time sensitive stuff, which, as you’ve seen already, can mess things up. Use the Display hub for things like disk drives that are designed to easily live with temporary bandwidth hiccups.

Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum. You can contact Apple directly using the Support link at the bottom left of every page of this forum (they will walk you through the same troubleshooting steps hcsitas suggested plus additional ones as necessary).

You can also leave feedback here:

Apple doesn't directly respond to feedback but it is logged and routed to the correct departments.

The mouse and keyboard are JUST FINE. There is no "radio noisiness" (these aren't radio waves but a USB audio connection). The problem is with the Studio Display. This is a very known issue and posted all over the internet. Google "studio display audio issues". Apple already acknowledged it's a "software issue" but I am shocked that they still have not resolved this. The Firmware update from over 6 months ago that they claim "fixed it" did not work. I hope they get this into their next firmware update. It's too annoying and unacceptable for 3k USD monitor. Tempted to send it back to them within return period.

Thanks. I don't want to use them connected to my laptop. I want them connected to my screen that has 3 USB-C outlets. What you are suggesting is not a solution. Where I live this screen costs 3k USD and I would expect the sound to work without having to worry about what USB devices I plug in.

I am more interested in hearing if Apple is still working on fixing this issue (because the 15.5 firmware upgrade evidently did not).
