Where do i enter my Apple Recovery key to gain access to my Mac Book
I had purchased a new M1 MB Pro but continued to use my legacy devices as i was out of the country. When i attempted to access my new device but failed to remember the correct sign in, I now receive "your account has been locked" prompts when ever I attempt to access the device through my main personal admin user account. My sons standard account is usable but any attempts to elevate his status to admin in order to fix this problem I remain locked out, encountering again this user account is locked prompt.
All the Apple associates I encounter do not offer a solution other than erase the device making me believe they are either ignorant of the "locked user" terminology or are trained that when they encounter this issue, there is the possibility the device is stolen or the person in possession may not be the legal owner.
How can i access my device ?
I have my receipt of purchase !
The device is one of my registered devices !
I have my "Apple Recovery Key" with an arm length password !
What is the solution and why aren't the Apple Techs aware ?
