Hey there ericce,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. If having issues with AirPlay not working as expected, give the steps listed in the following resource a try that can help: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device - Apple Support

Learn what to do if you can't stream content with AirPlay, mirror the screen on your iOS device or Mac to your Apple TV or smart TV, or have another issue using AirPlay.

Try these steps first
After each step, see if you still need help.
1. Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible devices are turned on and near each other.
2. Check that the devices are updated to the latest software and are on the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Restart the devices that you want to use with AirPlay or screen mirroring.

If you're prompted to enter a password, you might have restrictions turned on, or you might need to adjust your AirPlay password settings.

If still having issues after going through the steps above, we'd also recommend checking for any wireless interference that may be causing connection issues between your iPhone and TV. For help with checking and resolving issues related to wireless interference, check out this next link here: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

Symptoms of wireless interference
Any of these symptoms could be caused by interference affecting the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal:
- Device doesn't connect or stay connected
- Connection is slow and signal strength  is low
- Bluetooth audio skips, stutters, cuts off, or has static or buzzing

If still having issues after going through the steps above, can you let us know if this occurs with all content, or when trying to AirPlay content from a certain app? Also, do you see any particular alerts or messages when AirPlay stops working?

Take care!
