Troublesome Dictation Behavior Change.

Thank you for any help that can be offered.

Originally iPhone dictation would stop listening when I had finished dictating. Now it continues to listen even after I have stopped dictating. So I will be in the process of making a few corrections to things that it got wrong, and suddenly somebody in the distance in the background can make some commentary, and it is interjected, because the dictation is still listening. In the past when I stopped talking, or was silent, it stopped listening, and auto stopped the dictation process so that I could make corrections to the text already taken. Is there a setting whereby I may get it to be so wise as it was before and knew to stop dictation instead of continuing to listen? Thanks again. Oh and to be clear, I am not talking about disabling listening altogether - this is about getting it to stop dictating intelligently when I stop speaking, and discontinuing the listening process until I hold the dictation button again. This was the behavior prior to my current update version and, to me, it was preferable.

Thank you. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
