Wondering which MacBook Pro Model (year) you are using,

and if your Mac is compatible with the newer MacOS versions

Seems you would need to have Mac OS 12 or later installed:

(and to update from Mac OS 10.10 requires moving from 32 bit to 64 bit apps)
