Thanks. I am wondering what happened to the swipe left or right for trash option. I had it and it just disappeared. Thank you.

If you use Apple's Mail app, you can change the "Swipe" functions here:

Settings > Mail > Swipe Options

It is not possible to change the Swipe functions in the Message app.
