I would like to change the swipe options to delete an email in Apple mail.

Available Mail message swipe-options can be found in iPad settings:

Settings > Mail > Swipe Options

Annoying swipe function on ipad email program When I go into my email program I sometimes accidentally touch an email and it swipes to the right and disappears. It appears that this is a way to delete messages quickly but it is a bit too quick for my liking and I want to get rid of it. Even more annoying is that I have set mail to ask if I want to delete but that doesn’t stop the messages doing the disappearing trick. Is there a way to stop this or is it just a bug that I have to put up with?

Why can't I setup the swipe option on Emails to send to the Trash. It's not a given option. I used to be able to swipe an email and send it directly to the trash before opening it. Now that option is not available. If I go to Settings: Mail: Swipe Options: Swipe Left only offers None/MarkasRead/Flag/MoveMessage. Same for Swipe Right. Where is delete??

Swipe gestures for DELETE in iPad OS Mail I am having a hard time understanding why the Trash or Delete option is not available in settings when looking at options to swipe left or swipe right. It seems like a multi-step process to simply delete a message using this app. I really like the app overall and want to use it over Edison mail but it just doesn’t work well as it pertains to this basic function. Are there plans to add this option?
