Apple Notes Table Font Formatting Issue - It Is A Bug

Re-opening this topic that was auto-closed without a sufficient response from Apple Support.

Font size changes at random in tables on … - Apple Community

The issue is that when you copy and paste tables in Apple Notes on Mac OS (I have not verified on iOS, this is the desktop OS), some cells in the table will not properly inherit the font setting of System Default, Regular, 12 pt and will, instead, in my case set the last cell in each row to Helvetica.

The response from Apple Support to the original thread was canned and ridiculously irrelevant, e.g. try to set the font in Preferences (hello, there is no ability to set fonts in Notes preferences in the desktop app?) or to reinstall the entire OS (seriously?!?).

This is a documented issue that is experienced by many users, a simple search of these forums or via the Internet will reveal so. This is a reproducible behavior and is clearly a bug that Apple is either unaware of or entirely disinterested in fixing. It's been in place for at least 18 months as far as I can tell.

I eagerly await this thread being auto-closed without any significant or useful response from Apple whose process for reporting and progressing real, legacy issues is clearly flawed. How about take a look at GitHub issue reporting and management which is an accepted best practice on how to manage legacy issues like this instead of just replying with canned responses and auto-closing legitimate, reproducible issues raised by your customers? Think different indeed.

You're not addressing Apple here. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple's participation is minimal beyond the (gargantuan job of) maintaining order. If you want to leave feedback for Apple, you can do so here:

If you want help directly from Apple, use the "Support" link at the bottom left of every page of the forums.

Threads that have had no activity for more than 30 days are auto-closed. Had the original poster taken the trouble to post back, there would have been further responses from the Community Specialist. But, they didn't.

Your issue seems a bit different than the post you linked to as that poster was having trouble when creating a new table whereas you describe having trouble when copying and pasting. The problems could be related or they might not be.
