Display mode for new (to me) computer ... MacBook Air Refurbished.

My refurbished macbook air under the apple doesn't have "System Preferences"!!! It has System Settings. I cannot see my expected display of System Preferences nor the format I'm used to. Why?

Because with Ventura System Settings has been remodelled and renamed to System Preferences.
