Thunderbolt 27 Display to MCP

I purchased a Mac book Pro M1 and successfully connected to my older Thunderbolt 27 display. I purchased an adapter for the displays older magsafe power output to usb c in order to power up the Mac book but it does not work. I cannot find any information if this is compatible or not.

Thanks for the reply. I have the type c converter as shown. I came to the conclusion that the converter was faulty as it intermittently switched to adapter charging when first connected then went off again. Today I returned the item to Amazon. I will look for an alternative converter from the magsafe 2 on the Thunderbolt display to magsafe 3 or USB C on the Mac Pro.
