camera de-activated

Macbook Air M1

macOS Ventura

My mac's camera is, it seems, de-activated - it won't show my mug in either Zoom or Teams.

I think I may have done something about security, to avoid anyone accessing my camera unauthorised, but I can't recall the procedure I followed.

Yes, the camera is ticked for both apps in Settings.

Many thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.1

Hi guycruls

Sometimes restarting Mac (Apple menu > Restart) seems to put things back in order.

(... has worked for similar Zoom camera situation in a previous MacOS)

You might want to check Safari > Preferences > Websites. Select Camera in left sidebar ... see if you want to select "ask" or "allow" for (eg: for Zoom if it is listed )or (at the bottom) when visiting other websites ...ie: could be set to "deny" use of camera.

All the best :-)
