I forgot the Apple ID and it's password that I used to set up my iPhone 6S Plus when I and now it's locked and the request sais your request was denied

Today I found my old iPhone 6s Plus when I tried upgrading it to the latest version of iOS it showed me the activation lock screen and I forgot the Apple ID and the password I used to set up this device and when I tried requesting an activation lock support Apple kept telling me that your request was denied. Can anyone tell me what should I do I really need to use this device because it's related to my job.

Activation Lock is intended as a theft deterrent. It is intentionally not easy to bypass. We cannot help. Apple won't, absent proof of ownership sufficient to convince Apple to bypass Activation Lock. Proof which was seemingly lacking here, based on the reported denial. Your options are to gather more or better evidence of ownership and re-submit, or to regain access to that Apple ID, or to recycle the iPhone 6s.
