Can't update iPhone 5s to 12.5.7

I have an iPhone 5s running 12.5.5. I'm trying to update it to 12.5.7. But when I do so, it downloads the update, tries to verify it, then says it can't verify the update because I am "no longer connected to the internet."

But the phone IS connected to the internet via wifi. (Going to Safari and loading web pages works just fine.)

Any ideas how to get it to update?

If you are experiencing problems updating, try deleting the iOS Update file and download it again.

First, delete the iOS Update file. Go to: SettingsGeneral → iPhone Storage.

Find the iOS update on the list and delete it.

After that, Restart your iPhone. Then connect to Wi-Fi, and charger, and go to:

SettingsGeneralSoftware Update and try again.

Leave your iPhone in the software update menu and preferably don't use it while downloading.
