Mail, iOS 16: Deleting the Bcc also deletes the Sent message
I always Bcc myself when I send a message. After I receive the Bcc, I delete it. If I delete the Bcc from my received mail using iOS 16, then the original SENT message is also deleted! When I delete a message, only that one message should be deleted. This does not happen on my iPad (15.6.1) or Mac (12.5.1), regardless of the device I use to send the message.
To recreate: create a message and Bcc yourself. Send the message. When you receive the Bcc message, delete the Bcc (using an iOS 16 device). The sent message is also (incorrectly) deleted.
This makes the "Always Bcc Myself" setting useless because deleting the Bcc also deletes the Sent message, leaving no record of the message being sent.
I reported this to Apple when I installed iOS 16.1 (via their Feedback Assistant app, FB11746292, Nov 2, 2022). This discussion topic should be "iOS 16," but that was not among the choices, so I chose iPhone, but it applies to iOS 16.
Anyone else?
