I'm trying to get my keyboard illuminate to work it just doesn't its like it doesn't exist, I've turned it on in settings to be shown in control centre but its not there how can I fix this?

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about keyboard illumination. Not all models have this option.
Turn your Mac keyboard’s backlighting on or off - Apple Support
"If your Mac laptop has a backlit keyboard, you can adjust the level of backlighting when you’re using your Mac in low light conditions or turn off backlighting."
Since you do not have this option, it's likely your Mac doesn't have an illuminated keyboard. thanks.
