How can I set up Focus to block alarms?

The other day an alarm went off during a concert, even though I had turn on Do Not Disturb and set the side switch to silence. I experimented with every focus, and they all let alarms through. So I tried creating my own focus. Under Apps, it says "None silenced," so when I tried to add the clock app, it doesn't show up. I changed it to "None Allowed," but the alarm still went off. Under Options, there's no option to do this, and I dont' see a way to do this using Focus Filters. How do I use Focus to block my alarms?

Ah.. I got it now. No the clock is not an Alert and the Do Not Disturb and the Ring/Silent switch don't affect the alarm sounds. If you set your Ring/Silent switch to Silent or turn on Do Not Disturb, the alarm still sounds.

You could set the Clock Alarm to vibrate but other than that I don't see an option. This article may help you, go to the very bottom:

Setting my alarm to vibrate defeats the convenience of the focus feature. When I'm not in a Do-Not-Disturb phase, I want my alarms to make noise. What you're suggesting is that I should go through my alarms and figure out which ones I need to silence, instead of turning on the Do-Not-Disturb focus. Then I would have to go back to the alarms at the end and turn their sound back on. The wonderful convenience of the focus feature is that it will automatically turn off when I leave the venue. I want to do this using the focus feature.

I'm surprised to read that alarms always sound for two reasons. First, because I've found at least one other question where somebody is told their alarm didn't sound because they used "Do Not Disturb." (Alarm didn’t go off on Do Not Disturb mode - Apple Community)

Second, because people have been asking for this for a while. Apple usually uses a philosophy of empowering their users. But this breaks that tradition.

We all get instructed to silence our phones when we go to a movie or concert. It makes no sense that Apple doesn't give us a way to do that!
