Generate QR code to run Shortcut

I'm fairly sure that Shortcuts app cannot generate bar codes. But perhaps your intent is for a QR code to run a shortcut that will, in turn, run another app which would generate a bar code?

I'm fairly sure that QR codes are either generated or scanned – not run. (Shortcuts are run.)

A QR code can be generated by Shortcuts app via the 'Generate QR code from' action. And if the URL embedded in that QR code conforms to Apple's URL scheme, then scanning that QR code will run the shortcut specified by the URL:

...If you give an example of what you're trying to achieve, perhaps someone here can help. But you'll have to be very clear in your wording – as Shortcuts, QR codes, URL schemes and bar codes can be confusing. Also consider asking on this Shortcuts sub-Reddit — it has many more Shortcuts experts than here on ASC.
