location services not working My iMac won't update its location. The symptoms are the clock still showing the time at the old location (in a different time zone), and in Maps, "Go to current location" doesn't work. I have turned on all Location Services in the Privacy and Security section of the System Settings including System Services. I have restarted the computer a few times. Help is appreciated.

Device name in Finder sidebar when it shouldn't be and not in the sidebar when it should be! I often come to my Mac and find that one of my external drives, Macintosh HD2 (a boot drive for another Mac), has disappeared from the sidebar, even though it is mounted. So I drag it back in. Then if I dismount (unmount) it, it stays in the sidebar. All the other drives work fine in this respect. Any ideas? macOS 12.7 (although I also had the same problem with 12.6.x) M1 24" 4-port iMac

Old issue, new issue, what changed(?) or you just happen to notice?

It is dependent on how you are connected to the internet—

cable modem, DSL, WiFi, Ethernet, cellular... and your ISP. It can change, accuracy fluctuate according to the current conditions.

If you have a iDevice it can passively help triangulate your location...

Verify your settings remain the same and/or correct— I would simple check it at a different time/day.
