Help with an update

Hi, I’m trying to update an App and it shows an old email, but when I go to my Apple ID settings it has my new email. I don’t know how to get rid of the old email so I can update my App. It will not accept my password because it’s with an old email. On my iPhone. Thx any suggestions?

Apple ID and updating APPS I have apps that need to be updated and when I try it makes me sign in to Apple ID, this would not be a problem but it is giving me an old e-mail address from 6 years ago and I can not use my new email address which is the one that shows on my phone. I do not know how to rectify this issue.

Delete and redownload that application. The old Apple ID is stored inside it.

Hi Sierra1-2

I would recommend deleting the app you are trying to update and redownloading it.

How to delete an App

Yes thank you that seemed to work. I think once I redownloaded the App. It didn’t ask for an update so it must of given me the updated version. 🥳😊
