Help with an update

Hi, I’m trying to update an App and it shows an old email, but when I go to my Apple ID settings it has my new email. I don’t know how to get rid of the old email so I can update my App. It will not accept my password because it’s with an old email. On my iPhone. Thx any suggestions?
