My service provider is retiring my email address I’ve had over 20 years.
I edited my Apple ID email, but it had me add an email. So now it shows both the new and old email. However, I can sign into my apple Id using the new added email but shouldn’t the old email be removed? This is for my iPad and iPhone.

2. In the Sign-In and Security section, choose Apple ID.
3. Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.
4. Choose Change Apple ID.
