Control Center Volume Slider Missing After Rapid Sliding Using Apple Pencil 2

My volume slider is missing from the control center. Seems like a restart is what i have to do. Is there a system restart for iPadOS without restarting the device? It would be very inconvenient when I will be working on live sounds and this would happen again…

Hi adonimous,

For help with not seeing the volume slider, a normal restart of your device would be the best to start with. If needed, the steps below found in the article here can help: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

"How to restart an iPad without a Home button

  1. Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

Additionally, if you need an alternate option for controlling you iPad volume check out the guide here: Adjust the volume on iPad

Cheers.
