My screen time shows huge Instagram usage, but I don’t have the app installed. What’s going on?

This is really odd. I had instagram installed a few years ago, but it hasn’t been on my phone for a long time. How is this possible? Is Meta tracking my activity through Twitter cross posts?

Inaccurate Instagram Screen Time data on my iPhone 15 Pro Hi, I checked my screen time to find that I allegedly have 24+ hours spent in Instagram for just 2 days this week, but this isn’t accurate. According to Instagram’s Time Management tool, I’ve hardly spent more than 25 min on the app for those days. This is not the first time this has happened and I’ve now disabled background app refresh to see if it does anything. I don’t remember how I had closed the app now, but the last time this happened my phone battery ran out as I was using it. I checked for useful information online, restarted my phone and tried to find a way to reset the statistic but to no avail. The only thing I discovered is that a lot of people on Reddit seem to have a similar issue, but that’s about it. Can you please suggest some possible ways to resolve this? When were your stats last reset?

Reset and wait a few days.
