No search function on my ventura 13.0 MacBook pro 16 inch. not anywhere, at any level, within applications, within mail, not spotlight; i've gone through the re-indexing process (doesn't seem to me anything happens there at all). I've restarted. Many times. Nothing. What's going on?

Oh wait, spotlight will find applications. that's all.
