MLS Season Pass missing from Apple TV + subscription

I bought MLS Season Pass to go along with my Apple TV + subscription and I get it on my iPhone, new LG TV but not on a couple year old Samsung TV. Can’t figure out how to fix the issue.

Hello Jjypdx,

From what you've shared it sounds like you may be having an issue getting the Apple TV app on your smart TV. We recommend reviewing the guidance listed here: Get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app on your smart TV or streaming device - Apple Support

"How to get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app

  1. Go to your device's app store and search for the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app. If you don't see the app that you're looking for, check your device's compatibility.1
  2. Download the app.
  3. Open the app and follow the instructions to complete setup.

If you're not signed in with your Apple ID, open the app and go to Settings > Accounts. Then choose a sign in option.

  • Sign In On Mobile Device: Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on the TV screen. Then follow the instructions on your mobile device.
  • On This TV: Use your TV remote to manually sign in with your Apple ID and complete setup."

If your device is compatible and you're able to download the app as expected, we recommend reaching out to Samsung or MLS support for additional assistance. We recommend this specifically because you've isolated that everything works as expected on other devices.

Regards.

Samsung smart TVs from 2018 or later should have the Apple TV app pre-installed. Find the app, sign in with your Apple ID account (similar as with LG). Find MLS access points in the Watch Now tab (the promotional/recommendation tiles, as well as the circular Channel icon). Or find MLS access through Search; there would be an MLS Season Pass tile as shortcut even before entering search keywords.

(Select) older 2017 Samsung smart TVs may now get the Apple TV+ app (which is different from the Apple TV app). I have not seen confirmation that the Apple TV+ app is supposed to bring MLS access. Older models for this brand are not supported for the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app.
