MLS full match replay on Apple TV

I cannot for the life of me find out how to watch full MLS game replays on Apple TV. Only 7-minute recaps show up. If this is the case it’s a HUGE blunder/limitation and needs to be fixed ASAP. This is considerably worse than prior seasons of MLS where you at least had the option to record a game to watch later. What if you want to watch two games that are being played at the same time? What if you are doing something else on Saturday night? If I’m wrong about all this and the option for full replay exists it should be EASY to find

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to "Past Matches"
  2. Click on the match recap clip
  3. Scroll to the bottom; you should see a black box: "How to Watch"
  4. Click "2 versions"
  5. Select the 90-minute version
  6. Shake your head in amusement

Really only two things matter if you are a fan: watch the game live or watch it later, and those two choices should be front and center of the design. All the rest is secondary. Another problem: I’ve turned on hide scores, but what’s the point when Matchday Goals and Late-Match Goals are smack in your face? They really need to fix this.

Yup. I can only speculate they didn’t do a usability study. If they took a random person off the street who had never accessed MLS Season Pass and said, OK, I want you to watch you find the full replay of the Chicago Fire game and avoid finding out anything about the game in the process they would quickly understand how unbelievably bad the interface is. I’m angry at the incompetence

Apple TV needs to get their **** together and create a “record” option or at very least, “Past Matches” should not show the score of the game you want to watch on the thumbnail as you select the game you choose to watch. It’s very disappointing they aren’t capable of getting something so simple corrected. Amateurs.

Same issue on a Roku TV , figured it out. Scroll to the match You want to watch the full replay. Press and hold OK button on the Roku TV remote. It then gives you three options, seven minute replay, English full 90 minute replay, and full Spanish 90 minute replay. Yes!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the press and hold for two versions doesn't work. Maybe it's a Roku issue or my third party (Harmony) remote. But that pretty much ends my viewing as I can seldom watch live. Absolutely insane that the replays aren't the first option after live.

Not sure if this link will work but this was answered on another thread in this community by searching “MLS Replay”.

Essentially, once you find the game you want to watch; scroll all the way down to “How to Watch”. You should be able to see all the versions available to watch. It worked for me on iPhone.

Thanks. I did turn off scores in settings>apps>TV. No problem there although I’m sure many people have to Google how to find it. My complaint is that the interface shows scoring even if it doesn’t show scores. For example, when I click NE Revs as my team the first thing I see is that Kessler scored a goal. You can correctly assume a lot from that since it’s the only “Key Play” listed. If I scroll down there is another area called Brilliant Goals and it shows me that Kessler scored in 89’. Again, I don’t want to know that if I don’t want to know the score. Scroll down further and finally I get what I want at the top: Past Matches. I click that and the only thing I see is a screen advertising Saturday’s game (if I click it defaults to Recap as only option). So, I discover that you can scroll down (but why would I since what I think I want is there (but not)?) When I scroll down I see for the third time that Kessler scored a goal—I correctly presume now the only one. Finally, at the very bottom I see How to Watch Season Pass and tiny thing saying Press and Hold for 3 versions. INSANE! Someone needs to be fired!

Went to watch MLS 360 and immediately got 2 minutes of commercials? Thought this had to be a joke. You are paying and getting commercials.

If you don’t do the extra subscription as I understand it you can only watch the games live. No way to replay it that I can find.

The scores in the TV app on the Apple TV box in countries where it has a sports tab, those scores should be able to be set hidden with a setting in Settings﹥Apps﹥TV﹥. To reach the team that makes decisions for settings on the web and in the Apple TV app on various devices, it is best to send your feedback comments through the feedback form: Feedback - Apple TV App - Apple. Thank you.
