MLS full match replay on Apple TV

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Go to "Past Matches"
2. Click on the match recap clip
3. Scroll to the bottom; you should see a black box: "How to Watch"
4. Click "2 versions"
5. Select the 90-minute version
6. Shake your head in amusement

Not sure if this link will work but this was answered on another thread in this community by searching “MLS Replay”.

Essentially, once you find the game you want to watch; scroll all the way down to “How to Watch”. You should be able to see all the versions available to watch. It worked for me on iPhone.

Same issue on a Roku TV , figured it out. Scroll to the match You want to watch the full replay. Press and hold OK button on the Roku TV remote. It then gives you three options, seven minute replay, English full 90 minute replay, and full Spanish 90 minute replay. Yes!!!!!!

Never mind. I was trying to download a game I had already started and it looks like you can’t. You can only download a game BEFORE you start watching it. I went to a game I wasn’t going to watch and the download option was there. It disappears as soon as you start watching a game.

I found the answer. When to go to the MLS Season Pass main screen, if the game you want to watch is being featured, you will see a white button with the "Go To Game", click it.

You will see a "Watch" button when you click it, it will give multiple choices on how to watch the whole game.

The problem is that it is not consistent, you may have to scroll down to the bottom to find the whole game.

Once you’ve clicked on the replay you have to exit the app and reboot it to get the choices again. (I had to spend 45 minutes with AppleTV support to figure this out).

Some matches give me the option to long press and select one of two or three options (recap, full match replay, spanish version), but not the STL vs SJ match. It didn't even have the recap option last night and today you can only watch a recap, no option for full match replay. Not to mention it's on the bottom of a page filled with gameday highlights and scoring. What a horrendous rollout.

Yeah, Apple TV does not have any of those features you mentioned and it is annoying. You do get to watch the complete games after a few days later. It is frustrating and something they need to fix asap as they will lose customers. It is a complete disappointment.

I just clicked on the Miami v. Galaxy "How to Watch" on Feb 26 2024 and did not get a "90 minute" version. Only 7 minute recaps in English and Spanish. Apple TV has not only NOT improved over 2023, but has gone backwards if that is possible! THERE EVIDENTLY IS NO WAY TO WATCH A FULL GAMERAEPLAY. Time to cancel my subscription. Knew Garber made a mistake with this media deal.

You have to scold all way down after seeing score highlights to see how to watch. SPOILER ALERT

Nope. Signed out, back in, still only get English and Spanish 7 minute recap versions as options. No full 90 minute replay option.

Another problem: I’ve turned on hide scores, but what’s the point when Matchday Goals and Late-Match Goals are smack in your face? They really need to fix this.

The scores in the TV app on the Apple TV box in countries where it has a sports tab, those scores should be able to be set hidden with a setting in Settings﹥Apps﹥TV﹥.
