MLS full match replay on Apple TV

I cannot for the life of me find out how to watch full MLS game replays on Apple TV. Only 7-minute recaps show up. If this is the case it’s a HUGE blunder/limitation and needs to be fixed ASAP. This is considerably worse than prior seasons of MLS where you at least had the option to record a game to watch later. What if you want to watch two games that are being played at the same time? What if you are doing something else on Saturday night? If I’m wrong about all this and the option for full replay exists it should be EASY to find

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to "Past Matches"
  2. Click on the match recap clip
  3. Scroll to the bottom; you should see a black box: "How to Watch"
  4. Click "2 versions"
  5. Select the 90-minute version
  6. Shake your head in amusement

Yup. I can only speculate they didn’t do a usability study. If they took a random person off the street who had never accessed MLS Season Pass and said, OK, I want you to watch you find the full replay of the Chicago Fire game and avoid finding out anything about the game in the process they would quickly understand how unbelievably bad the interface is. I’m angry at the incompetence

I watch AppleTV via my cable provider Comcast (i.e. press and speak into the remote "Apple TV") and the recommended method of pressing and holding the "How to Watch" for three seconds does not appear to work. No matter what I try, it only appears to play the 7 minute recap. Very frustrating in comparison to what I used to do when all I needed to do is press play for the game(s) I recorded.

This UI is even worse than when NBC first started streaming Premier League. Although it has many of the same problem like showing the scores EVERYWHERE before you try to replay. I would have expected better for an Apple release which is usually more tested. I unfortunately paid for the season upfront which was a mistake - going to see if I can get a refund. Not worth the money if you know the results before every game.

This is the worst UI flow I've seen from a streaming app. Unfortunately I'm almost never able to catch Timbers games live, so I rely on watching VODs after the fact. All I want from this service is to be able to watch the full match after it has been played. It's very odd that this is hidden and not a front-and-center option. At this point I sure wish I could go back to watching on Root Sports via Fubo.

Also, Apple, I'm going to cancel my subscription if you continue showing scores in the banners even when sports scores are disabled. Please sort this out.

The miscalculation they made is that MLS fans are not like NFL fans. I only watch Atlanta United games. Am not interested in San Jose vs Seattle. If they offered a low cost package for each team only I bet their response would be better. Hope they come to their senses. I suspect there are many fans like myself that only follow their local team.

I’ve read multiple threads/posts on how to watch a MLS match replay but I can’t figure it out on my Roku. How can it be this hard?? I don’t want to watch a 7 minute recap! I want to watch the whole game and preferably not know the outcome before hand. I’m paying a monthly subscription for AppleTV plus an MLS subscription, this is awful, please fix it!!
