WhatsApp problem with iPhones
Both my husband and I have iPhone 14's. We just recently upgraded from iPhone XR. Prior to that we had iPhone 6. When we had the 6, we did not have any problems with messages coming in on WhatsApp and the notification sounds going off. We changed to the XR's and after one of the IOS upgrades, we started having problems not getting the notification sounds on all messages. Some would come thru with sound and some not. When we upgraded to the 14's and changed carriers, we were hoping this problem would go away but it has not. Some of the missed notifications have been very important. I have searched thru the support community and saw some other posts with similar problems and I tried doing what they said to do but still not every message that comes in on WhatsApp makes a sound notifying me.
So, does anyone have any idea what I might do to get the notification sounds to work when any message comes in?
I am set as follows:
Settings---
Notifications---
all the Alerts are checked
Sounds - On
Badges - On
Show in Carplay - on
In Lock Screen Apprarance---
Show Previews Always (Default) - Always
WhatsApp Notifications Settings---
Show Notifications - On
Sound - Time Passing
Reaction Notifications - On
Group Notifications--
Show Notifications - On
Sound - Time Passing
Reaction Notifications - On
In-App Notifications - Alerts is circled
Sounds - On
Vibrate - On
IN Settings---
where the apps are listed it shows the following for WhatsApp--
Location - While Using
Contacts - On
Photos - All Photos
Microphone - On
Speech Recognition - On
Camera - On
Face ID - On
Siri & Search - is not turned on
Notifications - all checked - Lock Screen Notification Center, Banners
Background App Refresh - On
Cellular Data - On
So with all the above information, can anyone help me get to where all WhatsApp messages make a sound when my phone recieves them?
