iOS 17.6.1 caused all sound notifications for my messages to cease on my iPhone 11.

I updated my iPhone 11 to the new Emergency release of 17.6.1. After that, I lost all sound notifications in Messages.

It was a previous thread for a similar problem when iOS 17 was initially released. I tried all solutions I could find there and not have worked for me.

Any advice would be welcome.

One complication is that I have hearing aids and use the Smart 3D app to get all the sounds redirected to my hearing aids. However, uninstalling that app made no difference, nor does turning off the hearing aids that also puts sounds back on the phone speaker. And again, it's just notifications, not rings and other sounds. I am at my wits end. Note: My wife and I got our phones at the same time and have the same iOS version; hers works OK.

Using 16.3.1, iPhone no longer gives a sound notification for iMessages I have checked Haptics & Sounds, Messenger settings, focus settings, logged in and out of iCloud, rebooted, hard rebooted, reset settings - nothing brings back the sound notification of a new iMessage when phone is locked. Very frustrating. Any other solutions? I spent way too many hours last night trying to troubleshoot what is more than likely a bug in the latest update as other friends report the same issue.

phone notifications alerts only work now and then must reboot iphone to make sounds work again How to correct problem with sound notifications alerts. They work for a couple of hours but then stop. Must reboot iphone to correct the problem. This happens every day.

I am having the same problem. I turned off Bluetooth which was connected to my IPad. It works now!

I am having the same problem. My Apple Watch is connected to my phone via Bluetooth. When I turn off Bluetooth on my phone I begin receiving sound notifications.

I successfully got notifications back on my Apple Watch by turning off Bluetooth. Waited 20 seconds and turned back on. I updated to iOS 17.6.1 a couple days ago.

Thank you, but turning off, Bluetooth did not help.
