Apple watch Battery life drain
I have noticed that when I travel, my Apple watch will need to be recharge by 4pm. Where as when I am home it will go all day without needing to be charged.

I suspect you have a cellular watch that its constantly looking for a network that does't exist when you travel. Try turning off the cellular option while you travel and see if that helps.
