Cannot change child’s Date of Birth because of a server error

I can’t find anyone who’s found a simple fix to this yet?

Apple would not let me put my daughters correct DOB in when creating her account and now won’t let me change it once created without the sever error message appearing…

has anyone found a fix without escalating through Apple to their engineers??
