iPad and Apple Mail
A pal asked me if it were possible to set up mailboxes and mail rules on his iPad.
I just Googled around for an answer and found an Apple Support thread from 2012 which said that this is not possible.
Is this still the case?

Multiple mailboxes can be added to iPad and iPhone devices - however, beyond simple junk and blocking rules, manual configuration of mail filtering rules are not supported by iOS/iPadOS.

For iCloud mail, you have more control - but must configure rules using a web browser:
