Shortcuts action to mention someone

Is there a way to create a shortcut action that will mention someone that is in a specific iMessage group or Note? In my case, I’m appending a note that is created and has another collaborator. I’m wanting to add the current date and then mention that other person.

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 15

Hi Pthfnder,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

You can mention someone in a group message but the same doesn't apply to Notes.

"How to use mentions

  1. Open a Messages conversation.
  2. Type a contact's name, then tap the name when it appears. Or type @ followed by their name.

Depending on your contact's settings, a mention can notify them even if they've muted the conversation. To change this notification setting, go to Settings > Messages, then turn Notify Me on or off."

Take care!

I tried looking thru the user guide but nothing on mentions in shortcuts. I’ll try the product feedback now… I really don’t think its possible at this point in time. I just wonder how the formula would read if someone left the note you’re referencing. Unless the shortcut kicked back a message saying “@whoever has left the specified noted you are referencing”.
