Airdrop

How do you add a contact for Airdrop purposes since Apple wants to make changes to the AIrdrop and make "everyone for 10 minutes" which is now the most annoying thing to do? I don't want to keep going to setting and clicking that so I rather just make myself a contact on my laptop when it appears.

Airdrop Favorite contacts or Approved devices I would like to have the option of a favorite Airdrop contact. It should work the same as “same Apple ID”; Meaning that if it’s my favorite /approved contact/device, I don’t have to press accept all the time to receive pictures. It’s really annoying to press accept to receive from same friend device for example.

AirDrop (Contacts Only) - my own Mac and my own iPhone Concerning AirDrop I am running iOS 16.2 and Ventura 13.1 (both are reported by their respective devices as having the latest available versions). Of course, the iPhone defaults to Contacts Only (because Apple nanny'd the setting so that I can't permanently enable Everyone). I'm logged in to my own Apple account on both devices. But they won't find each other on Contacts Only. I have to switch them to Everyone in order for them to find each other. What do I need to do in order to get AirDrop to work on Contacts Only between two of my own devices that are each logged in to the same account?

Is there some reason you are asking this in a 9 year old operating system forum? Yosemite is from 2014. Are you trying to do this in Yosemite, or one of the systems in your signature?
