Continuity camera + bluetooth: no video, iPhone keeps "dinging"
Trying to use Continuity Camera over bluetooth doesn't work – but it works pretty well when tethered. Details:
- If tethered, and I start up FaceTime, Continuity Camera is "mostly working" at this point (that is to say, 9 times out of 10, it works fine – sometimes it glitches out and I have to reboot, and then it is back to a working state).
- HOWEVER, if I do not use a tether – instead trying bluetooth, this is what happens:
- FaceTime starts up and displays a "black" video feed,
- My iPhone displays the "Connected to [computer]" with "Pause" and "Disconnect" buttons as is usual for Continuity Camera,
- My iPhone makes a kind of "dinging" noise,
- After 2-3 seconds, the iPhone displays the home page for just a moment,
- Then, it goes back to step #4 (displaying the pause/disconnect screen) and this repeats about every 2-3 seconds.
- Eventually, sometimes, FaceTime complains about not receiving a video feed.
Any ideas?
