I changed my iPhone passcode to a word instead of the 4 or 6-digit option a while ago and now I want to change it back to a number passcode but it won’t let me. When I go into my settings to try to change it, it doesn’t even give me an option to chose a number passcode. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Enter the current "word" password and then when you are offered to enter a new one select other options and look for a 6 digit passcode.
In Settings scroll down to Face ID and Passcode, then scroll down to Change Passcode, click on that. You will then need to enter Old Passcode, meaning current Passcode. You will then be able to change it. That is the way to do it on my 12Mini.
I tried that, it only asks for a word password and doesn’t give me an option to choose a number password. I attached a picture of what I’m talking about
