Hidden items under the used folder

Hey friends,

can someone help me understand: When I access the folder that carries my account user name under MacIntoshHD > Users and "unhide" the hidden items, a whole bunch of folders show up.

You can see from the screenshots attached.

My question: Is this normal? Can anyone tell me what these hidden folders are doing there?

Thanks for helping me understand :-)

Best,

The hidden folders are there exclusively for the macOS and (sometimes) installed apps.

If they should be deleted and/or moved, there's no telling just what sort of havoc will ensue.

They are hidden for a reason.

It is normal.

"Re-hide" them and move on. In a Finder window press Shift-Command-period to hide/unhide them.

It's Normal, mostly an attempt to keep people from messing things up,but sadly is what generally needs to be seen to fix what is messed up... not to worry too much about it, for instance .bash_sessions holds recent Terminall commands like file...
