Why does my notifications pop up on DND?

Notifications can come through when a Focus, like Do Not Disturb, is enabled if you have an app or contact set to "Always Allow" in your Focus settings. You can check this by heading into Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb. Check if there are any apps or contacts under the Allow Notifications, as shown in the picture below from the Apple Support article Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support:
