Iphone 14 opening 2 tabs and one is blank whenever i open text apps

Every time i open imessage or some other form of texting like discord, it opens a 2nd, blank tab. A little arrow in the top left also appears saying “untitled” and if you press it it goes to the blank tab, then immediately back to what i was just on. Its kind of annoying because i could open 3 apps, but it shows up at 6 different apps, effectively draining my battery and making my data bug out. I have an iphone 14 pro max and i was wondering if there was anyway to stop it. I use the brass app to customize my icons and theme. Could that be doing it?

thanks.

I don’t want to expose my message but heres what it looks like.

Thanks for reaching out Crunchy_2790,

It sounds like you're seeing some unexpected behavior when opening a new message. We can help.

A good first step is to make sure you aren't using any beta software, and that you are on the latest public iOS version. At this time that is 16.3.1.

If you are using a beta version, follow these steps to see How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software and then test again on a public release.

If you aren't on the latest iOS version, you can follow thee steps to Update iOS on iPhone and then test to see if the issue persists.

If after those steps the issue still occurs, your best bet is to Contact Apple for support and service and report the issue.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
