Apple support have a couple of articles online that may help:

What to do: If you have problems playing music on Mac - Apple Support

Eg says: "Music skips iTunes Store purchases if your computer hasn’t been authorised to play them"

How to: Authorise a Mac to play iTunes Store purchases – Apple Support

Eg: says:

  1. "In the Music app  on your Mac, choose Account > Authorisations > Authorise This Computer.
  2. If requested, enter your Apple ID password to confirm".
