Reinstall app not using iCloud (I get cloud symbol not the GET)

i have misbehaving iPhone/iPad app. The vendor says I have a bad version and need to delete the app and reinstall from the App Store with the latest version. However when I go to the App Store to download a fresh image I see the cloud symbol not the GET button so I end up getting the same bad version which (I guess) is stored in the iCloud. How do I delete the iCloud version so I will get the GET button on the App Store ?

No, that cloud is nothing to do with iCloud, just means it is available for re-download. You will get the latest version.

Tap on the app in App Store and look for the version history.

That is the version that will be installed

Ask what version you should have.

That’s the second opinion on the subject so I’ll go back to the vendor (Fitbit) because everything I do gets the same result. The App won’t stay open on my iPhone or iPad.
