How to text my friend who uses a tru connect phone from my iPhone?
I’m trying to text my friend that has my tru connect phone , how do I do that ?

You could use iMessage and the your mail address to reach this phone, if you enabled the option to be reached by using the mail address/Apple ID as well in the settings for iMessage.
