What is "com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.xpc"?

I was checking the firewall settings and got curious about com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.xpc

So what is it and why is it in the firewall?

Thanks.

Systems files baked into the macOS, you can see more

Finder>Go>Go to Folder>

/System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/

I will say most any application you use are reaching back to communicate with the server for analytics/tracking/updates/etc all the time.

Turn it off if you have some overwhelming concern and compare your results. The application will toss a dialog to the macOS next time it is trying to get or run some needed or missing part of the communication chain, listening as posted above.— and manually prompt for permission to complete a task. Some have user facing dialogs/options, some do not.

or uninstall apps that the rely on the helper if you do not want to see it.

You have more options you did not include in your screenshot, make changes and compare how it impacts your user experience:

Logic Pro/FCPX / audio component...

is there an associated issue?

From Finder>Go>Go to Folder you should see, copy and paste:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.plist

Why do you want to know? And why aren't you concerned about any of those other apps that are apparently listening for remote connections? Any why do you care anyway since you are apparently allowing all of them to receive connections?

The built-in application firewall is what is called "Security Theatre". It's a show, put on by actors, signifying nothing. It's fake. It's only real value is to hopefully convince you that it is doing something. Otherwise, you might be tempted to download some scam "security" app. I'm not joking here. That's its function. Nothing else.

With the possible exception of Steam if you are hosting a game, none of those apps receive internet connections. This software is strictly about listening for connections, not "access". If you want to block outgoing connections, that's a whole different category of software piracy apps.
