Can't get Universal Control to work when Cisco Anyconnect VPN is enabled

This is a followup on an earlier question that has been closed. To my regret Cisco still hasn’t solved the issue… a year later and Universal Control is still not supported.

But there is an alternative, use OpenConnect as a replacement for Cisco AnyConnect VPN client on your Mac. The downside is that OpenConnect doesn’t have a GUI anymore… you have to use Terminal. Every time you make a VPN connection.

The reward is that Universal Control will work. And it just works :-)
