Noise cancellation for iphone 14 ?

My boyfriend just upgraded to the Iphone 14 pro max and it is kind of unbearable to speak to him on the phone now. I can hear every bit of background noise, it sounds like if someone’s rustling but it overtakes his own voice and i can barely hear him over the excessive background noise. Sometimes he’s not even moving and i can still hear rustling noises? I have the iphone 13 pro and it doesn’t seem to happen to anyone else I call except him.

Is there a fix for this?
